Suture removal – Chateaux Muse

What is suture removal?

Removal of sutures depends on how fast the skin is healing. In most cases, sutures are ready to be removed when the wound is fully healed. Suture removal is important to reduce the chance of infection and scarring. Keeping stitches in longer than necessary can also make it harder to take them out. Following instruction by your doctor, one of our in house professionals will gladly remove the sutures for you.

Why is proper suture removal important following surgery?

A surgical suture, also known as stitches, are placed to hold skin together after an injury or surgery. In some cases, dissolvable sutures are used but if not, the sutures must be removed by a healthcare professional to prevent improper healing.

Suture removal is performed typically 2 weeks post surgery.

All suture removal sessions are 30 minutes long and can be performed in-spa or in the comfort of your home.
